Our private Taiga spa experience is based on the age-old contrasting thermal cycle, offering exclusive access to hot and cold and resting facilities—ideal for couples, group bookings, and guests seeking solitude.
Begin your private banya experience in the intense heat of the 70°C Parnaya steam room—a true gem of the Taiga Spa Suite, traditionally constructed from Kelo timber logs in the style of a log cabin.
After the steam room, refresh yourself with a dip in a private plunge pool or under a cold water bucket shower. This quick shift to cooler temperatures boosts circulation and promotes detoxification, promoting a revitalising contrast to the intense heat.
After the hot and cold therapy, relax in your private lounge area or indulge in one of our many organic spa treatments. Taiga also features a private dining area where you can enjoy all the trappings of the VIP suite experience, complete with nourishing and unique food and drinks.

What is the private banya spa capacity?
Our private banya spa can accommodate up to 10 people, making it perfect for small groups, families, friends or couples looking for an exclusive and personalised banya experience.
What’s the difference between private spa packages and private spa hire booking options?
Private banya spa packages include treatments such as our signature Parenie ritual, Aroma Steam Ceremony, and Honey & Salt Scrub, offered at a lower cost than booking them separately. These packages are ideal for private couples’ spa experiences and private group spa sessions.
Private hire includes the full use of exclusive banya facilities, just like the private spa packages, but without treatments, allowing you to enjoy the space at your own pace.
Can I order additional treatments?
Yes, for both private hire and spa package bookings, you can order additional treatments. However, they are subject to availability, so we recommend booking them in advance to secure your preferred treatments.
Can I come with the children to the private banya spa?
For private spa experiences, children of any age are welcome, allowing families to enjoy the banya experience together. However, please be mindful that introducing younger children to thermal experiences is at your discretion, and we recommend considering their comfort and wellbeing during your visit. The private spa also features a TV to keep kids entertained while you enjoy your rituals and treatments.
What shall I bring with me?
Complimentary towels and slippers are provided for all private banya guests.
Please bring your own swimwear, or you can purchase from reception (£12 for swim shorts, £15 for a bikini) if you prefer not to bathe nude.
For female guests, we recommend wearing a bikini (not swimsuits) to allow the steam to circulate better around the body during steam room experience and the Parenie ritual.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel up to 72 hours before your booking for a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your appointment are non-refundable. We recommend notifying us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel your booking.
Is there parking available?
Free on-street parking, including residential bays, is available on Micawber Street and parallel roads on weekends and after 6:30 pm. At all other times, visitors to Banya No.1 – Hoxton can use these parking bays at a cost of £7 per hour. Can pregnant or breastfeeding individuals experience the private banya?
We don’t recommend using our facilities if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor or healthcare professional for advice specific to your situation.
