Two settings, one banya tradition

At Banya No.1 – Hoxton, you can choose between two distinct settings – Public Banya, offering short sessions and designed packages, and Private Banya Taiga, where the space is reserved entirely for you and your companions.

Public Banya

A shared banya with all the facilities for a complete thermal experience, dedicated treatment rooms and lounge.

Steam Room

Traditional humid heat at the heart of the banya.

Cold Plunge

A cedar plunge pool for cooling between rounds.

Bucket Showers

A brisk alternative to the plunge.

Parenie Room

A dedicated space for individual and couples Parenie.

Hot Stone Room

For scrubs, masks and other body treatments.

Massage Room

For honey detox and deep tissue massages.

Public Lounge

Your place for rest, tea, food and conversation between rounds.

Dressing Room

Two separate public changing rooms have everything you need before and after your session: lockers, benches, mirrors, hairdryers and convenient storage for clothes and belongings.

You’ve not experienced extreme temperatures until you’ve visited a Banya, an Eastern European concept where the steam rooms are so hot spa-goers must wear felt hats to protect their heads – yes, really.

If you’re a fan of heat, Parenie treatment is the one for you. This traditional Russian ritual sees a practitioner gently wave and press fragrant bundles of birch oak and eucalyptus – known as venik – over your body inside a steam room.

For something entirely different try Hoxton’s Banya No 1, which offers the authentic Russian sauna experience. Treatments include an ‘invigorating’ encounter with birch twigs, being rubbed in honey and coarse salt, and a spell in a steam room followed by a sudden ice-cold bucket shower.

Banya No.1 - Hoxton was the perfect way to end the hardest 2-weeks in my career. I splurged and went gold, including a face mud mask, parenie ("platza"), 25-minute masssage, and tea. I also had a Czech beer and delicious hot borscht with rye bread.

The facilities were limited: 1 sauna, 1 cold plunge, but it was my favorite kind of Russian bath house: community-oriented and no-nonsense. The service were aggressive and quick, I happened to go on "nen's night" and the "aufguss" aroma was beer lol (it was great). IT wasn't too busy, the other bros were sweet, and the staff nailed it.

This isn't a typical spa, you won't get a long massage, candlelight, or a variety of steam rooms and saunas, but if you're down - you'll have a great time.

Words really don’t do this place justice so do yourself a favour and book. My wife gifted me a package for my birthday, which included unlimited use of facilities, a Parenie and my own private booth to chill between sessions where I drank, ate and read a book - menu included plenty of vegan / veggie options as well. Right away the staff were super friendly and Denis the venue manager offered me a free shot of vodka. I was also invited for the parenie session, followed by a body scrub which was on the house, conducted by a banshik called Christian, who was super friendly and professional, and had created his own scrub recipe. It’s clear everyone working at Banya No.1 is the best at what they do, given how they provided such a hospitable, relaxed, professional and memorable environment from the moment I stepped in. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to go back.

What a fantastic experience! 🤩🤩

From the preparation I could already feel that I was doing something very special.

I had a 2.5-hour-session with the Parenie Ritual. I never heard about it before, but it was the top of the cherry.

When the steam master moves the arms with the bundles, he brings a heat wave to your body that’s something out of this world. It’s a fantastic physical experience and I truly loved it 😍😍😍

I can say that it was one of the best SPA experiences I’ve ever had!! I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back.

I celebrated a special birthday there and we were blown away by how wonderful Elena, Dennis and the team were. No detail was spared and they made all our guests feel so welcome and looked after. Had an amazing visit to Banya1. The whole sauna, plunge & treatment process was perfectly curated. Temp of sauna and cold plunge was perfect, staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and the curated healthy snacks and drinks were delicious. All in all I would highly recommend visiting the club and trying all of their different spa and treatment offerings.

They also have a private sauna/soak area that can be rented by private groups for events, parties, etc which looked fabulous.

Congrats to Banya1 for delivering an overall amazing spa offering.

I gave myself an amazing Gold Package birthday treat. The sauna was hot, the cold plunge cold, the massage deep and delicious, the parenie practically a shamanic healing. Topped off with a scrub and facial and finished with a bowl of hot, meaty borsch. It was an epic visit and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I'll be back next year!

Amazing experience!! Very different to any other spa i’ve gone to and the staff were so so lovely, the place is very clean, authentic, the massage was amazing too (i forgot the name of the therapist but thank you to him!). I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed, i will be back! The tea and fermented Russian drink were delicious.
