Parenie

Parenie is the heart of the Russian banya — a ritual that warms you like nothing else. A Steam Master uses veniki — bundles of leafy birch and oak branches — to direct and shape hot steam around your body, enveloping you in heat. Gentle tapping and more vigorous whisking complete the ritual, bringing a sense of deep warmth and relaxation.

At Banya No.1 – Hoxton, we offer several Parenie techniques: the classic Parenie Ritual, Extra Parenie, 4-Handed Parenie, Artesian Parenie with a cold mineral-water drench, and The Swing, featuring a series of alternating hot and cold water dousings.
