A combination of hot sauna and entering the cold pool felt energising the whole body and wakening the senses. For the first time I experienced the Parenie – Venik Massage. It is a great feeling of relaxation and pleasant scent. The staff were really friendly and making me feel well looked after. They were showing me what to do next in order to experience the essence of the Russian Banya. I ordered the Honey and Salt Scrub/Massage and that was also a unique and amazing experience. After the scrub, you go and stay 5-10 minutes in the sauna and then take a cool shower. The other unique thing which I enjoyed a lot, was the restaurant area where you sit in between the treatments and have snacks, drinks or hot food. The men sitting around were very friendly and it was easy to have conversations and play chest. I assume that the food offered in the restaurant/bar was imported from Russia. It was obvious that it is a selection of healthy food like the Kvas or the natural cranberry juice, not from concentrate as in the UK supermarkets. Apart from the fresh salad and snacks I tried the soup Borsh. It was really, really tasty. You need to try it in order to appreciate it. It is not just a spa, but a place to socialise and really enjoy every moment there. The Banya is luxury and stylish. I spent inside about 3 hours from 19:30 to 22:45 and didn’t even notice how the time went by. I was excited on the way back home. The night I had a deep and refreshing sleep and on the next day I felt laid back and at ease. The experience in the Banya made me feel great not only physically but also emotionally. Highly, highly recommended!
