Our banya is not a typical spa. The experience is built around the traditional thermal cycle — hot, cold, rest, repeat — creating a deeply invigorating and detoxifying journey. Enjoy at your own pace in a Public or Private Banya setting – from shorter 90-Min thermal sauna and ice bath sessions to classic 2-3h spa packages and custom private spa experiences.
Warm up in the intense heat and social atmosphere of the traditional Russian steam sauna – stimulating your heart rate and opening up your pores as you sweat profusely under a traditional Banya felt hat.
Experience the tingle of our ice bath and feel the instant euphoric hit of a cold bucket shower that feels like an ice fountain – allowing sharp temperature contrast to boost your dopamine and awaken the senses. Beat stress by getting out of your comfort zone.

What is the private banya spa capacity?
Our private banya spa can accommodate up to 10 people, making it perfect for small groups, families, friends or couples looking for an exclusive and personalised banya experience.
What’s the difference between private spa packages and private spa hire booking options?
Private banya spa packages include treatments such as our signature Parenie ritual, Aroma Steam Ceremony, and Honey & Salt Scrub, offered at a lower cost than booking them separately. These packages are ideal for private couples’ spa experiences and private group spa sessions.
Private hire includes the full use of exclusive banya facilities, just like the private spa packages, but without treatments, allowing you to enjoy the space at your own pace.
Can I order additional treatments?
Yes, for both private hire and spa package bookings, you can order additional treatments. However, they are subject to availability, so we recommend booking them in advance to secure your preferred treatments.
Can I come with the children to the private banya spa?
For private spa experiences, children of any age are welcome, allowing families to enjoy the banya experience together. However, please be mindful that introducing younger children to thermal experiences is at your discretion, and we recommend considering their comfort and wellbeing during your visit. The private spa also features a TV to keep kids entertained while you enjoy your rituals and treatments.
What shall I bring with me?
Complimentary towels and slippers are provided for all private banya guests.
Please bring your own swimwear, or you can purchase from reception (£14 for swim shorts, £18 for a bikini) if you prefer not to bathe nude.
For female guests, we recommend wearing a bikini (not swimsuits) to allow the steam to circulate better around the body during steam room experience and the Parenie ritual.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel up to 72 hours before your booking for a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of your appointment are non-refundable. We recommend notifying us as early as possible if you need to change or cancel your booking.
Is there parking available?
Free on-street parking, including residential bays, is available on Micawber Street and parallel roads on weekends and after 6:30 pm. At all other times, visitors to Banya No.1 – Hoxton can use these parking bays at a cost of £7 per hour. Can pregnant or breastfeeding individuals experience the private banya?
We don’t recommend using our facilities during the first trimester of pregnancy. After that, please consult your GP or healthcare professional to determine if it’s suitable.
Can I visit the private banya if I have a health condition?
If you have a health condition that might affect your use of our banya facilities and services, we recommend consulting with your doctor or healthcare professional beforehand to ensure it’s safe for you.
