A 90-Minute Sauna Session in London: What to Expect

A 90-minute visit to Banya No.1 – Hoxton gives you time for the steam room, cold plunge and a sit-down between rounds. Our Sauna & Plunge session costs £40 off-peak or £50 at peak times, per person.
It suits a visit focused on the hot and cold facilities, with a seat at a shared table in the rest area. If you are comparing options for an affordable spa visit in London, you can see our sauna sessions and prices before choosing a time.
When is off-peak?
Off-peak hours are Monday to Friday, 09:30–17:00. All other opening hours are peak, including weekday evenings and weekends.
What is included in Sauna & Plunge?
The session includes access to:
- The communal banya steam room.
- The bucket showers.
- The cold plunge pool.
- A seat at a shared table in the rest area.

Banya is a humid steam-room experience. The steam room and cold facilities are shared with other Public Banya guests. Expect people moving between the steam room, showers and rest area.
How do you spend the 90 minutes?
You move between the steam room, cooling down and resting. After a round in the warmth, there is time to sit at your table before deciding whether to go back in. Leave time for those breaks when planning your visit.
Changing and showering are included in your 90-minute booking. Allow for both when planning your time in the steam room, cold facilities and rest area.
If this is your first visit, ask the team to explain the facilities when you arrive. Leave enough time for the journey so you can make full use of your booking.

Should you book 90 minutes or two hours?
Sauna & Plunge works well if your main plan is to use the steam room and cold facilities. For a longer break and your own place to sit, the two-hour Access session includes a private booth and table.
| Session | Duration | Price per person | Seating |
| Sauna & Plunge | 90 minutes, including changing and showering | £40 off-peak / £50 peak | Seat at a shared table |
| Access | 2 hours | £50 off-peak | Private booth and table |
At off-peak prices, the extra £10 buys you another half-hour and the private booth. The steam room, plunge pool and bucket showers are still shared with other Public Banya guests.
What about Parenie or a massage?
Parenie, massage and body treatments are not included in the Sauna & Plunge price.
If Parenie is the reason you want to try banya, look at a package that includes it. During this traditional ritual, a therapist works steam around your body using bundles of leafy branches. A longer package gives you room for the treatment as well as time in the facilities.
What should you bring?
Bring swimwear for mixed sessions and a pair of flip-flops. A towel is provided, and you can borrow a felt banya hat at reception.
Check whether the time you are booking is mixed, women-only or men-only. If you are visiting with a friend, choose a session you can both attend.
