Banya was a very different experience for me, that is for sure! I did enjoy it though. I was invited to try it with my Russian colleagues so I thought I would give it a try as I didn’t get to try it during my Moscow visit this year. At first it seemed rough what with us having to jump into icy cold water and being beaten with venik in the heat of the parilka (Russian steam room). But hey – shot of vodka, another go, and I feel like just have been born, plus it definitely was a lot of fun! Staff are super friendly and made it a great experience for me that I would certainly recommend to anybody. You might get hooked.
