This was an early birthday gift! A dear friend who is actually Russian researched the entire city of London before sending me to Banya No.1. She did an amazing job 🙂 The place is simply the closest you can get to a typical Russian ‘banya’: friendly staff, local products and spotless, clean and relaxing environment. We had the platinum packages, enjoying sauna, massage, mud, body-wash and Aloe Vera full body mask, with intermissions in the lounge area, sipping herbal tea and finishing-up with a meal consisting of crayfish, prawns, herrings, pickled cabbage and fresh home-made Kvast (beetroot-based drink) and freshly squeezed fruit juices. Oleg was our host; a very skilled and talented gentleman who performed all the treatments, except the body-massage. This is an experience that I enjoyed very much so, that I’m already planning the next visit, maybe before Xmas.
