This is the first Banya I have been to. It was in the basement of a modern block. We were greated and given a tour of the facillity. It is traditional so wearing felt hats for some of the procedures like being slapped with bunches of wet leaves is obligatory. There is a large sauna room with plenty of space to lie down and chat with friends. A plunge pool and treatment rooms. A relaxing cafe where tea, meals and drinks can be ordered. After the leaves; which is very hot, leaves your skin tingling, you shower and then go onto the next procedure, a coffee scrub for me and a honey scrub for my husband. My skin felt really smooth after a face mud pack and chilled out after a full body massage. We had plenty of tea in between the procedures to ensure we cooled down.
