Welcome to Banya No.1 – Tbilisi

We have opened a brand new branch in Tbilisi, Georgia! 

 2022 marks a very special year for us. Behind the scenes, we have been working on the international expansion of our brand and opened a new bathhouse & wellness spa in the capital of Georgia. 

Situated on the outskirts of Tbilisi in the picturesque mountainous resort Kiketi, just a 30-minute drive from the city centre, the Banya No.1 – Tbilisi is in a stunning location and features a unique design. 

Overlooking the waterfall, lush countryside, and mountains, the spa complex is built into the cliff to preserve the surrounding landscape. The architects cut a wedge into the top of the steep ravine and backed the building spa complex into it. 

As a result, guests can unwind with tranquil views and enjoy the ultimate wellness experience by reuniting with nature and undertaking our traditional banya ritual. 

As well as harmoniously blending with the landscape, the building was designed and constructed with sustainability in mind – the roof here is covered by retained earth that helps to regulate the interior temperature.

In the same way as our Hoxton bathhouse in London, Tbilisi features two options – private and public experiences. In the public banya, guests get their own table where they can enjoy food and drinks and have access to the steam room, plunge pool, and open-air terrace. 

For the private experience, there is a possibility to hire the spa exclusively. Perfect for friend and family gatherings, the private banya is also ideal for celebrating special occasions!

Built using sustainably sourced kelo pine from Karelia, the steam rooms come with panoramic views of the mountains. The Parenie treatment takes place right in front of the windows. 

On one of the terraces, the icy plunge pool awaits guests to take a refreshing dip, while the sun lounges provide the perfect vantage point to take in the vistas and enjoy the fresh mountain air. 

To complete the experience, the Kiketi resort offers a variety of nature and cultural activities, making it the perfect destination for families and romantic getaways. 

From hiking and horse riding to visiting the local winery and rosarium, the resort is perfect for locals and tourists for day trips as well as enjoying a countryside holiday.
